Dr. Amir Pasic is vice president of international operations at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). In this role, he provides strategic leadership for CASE regional offices in London, Singapore, Mexico City, and oversees CASE activities in Africa and other areas outside of the United States.
Prior to joining CASE, Pasic was associate dean for development and strategic planning at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) as well as executive director of the Foreign Policy Institute, where he continues to serve as a fellow. Prior to his work at SAIS, he was deputy vice president for advancement at George Washington University and a librarian at the Library of Congress. He also serves as Trustee of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs.
Previous positions include serving as deputy director for the world security project of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and faculty appointments at Brown University's Watson Institute and Political Science Department. He holds a BA from Yale, an MA from SAIS, and a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Pennsylvania.
Publications include Foundations in Security (Rockefeller Brothers Fund, 1999); Culture, Identity, and Security: An Overview (Rockefeller Brothers Fund, 1998); and articles in Ethics & International Affairs, Security Studies, andGlobal Governance.
